Ben Libberton

Dr. Ben Libberton is a microbiologist with experience in surface chemistry and nanotechnology. His research focussed on the pathogen Staphylococcus aureus and methods to prevent colonization and spread in communities as well as hospitals.  His work has been published in top journals within biology, medicine and material science. His research has also been applied commercially with a patent for the production and use of novel dyes for the detection of carbohydrates and amyloid proteins present in clinical pathogens. Ben obtained his PhD from the University of Liverpool before moving to Stockholm to conduct post-doctoral research at the Karolinska Institute.
