Alexander Zilles

Alexander Zilles studied chemistry at the University of Siegen, where he obtained a Diploma in Chemistry with a focus on physical chemistry, specializing in the synthesis and photophysical characterization of novel organic fluorescent dyes. He earned his PhD from the Color Chemistry Department at the University of Leeds (UK), where his research focused on the photochemical stabilization of organic dyes on cellulose-based fabrics. Since joining ATTO-TEC in 2002, he has been deeply involved in dye research and development and has contributed to the creation of numerous patented fluorescent dyes for life science applications. Alexander Zilles currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and Head of Research and Development at ATTO-TEC.
