Shen Han

Dr. Shen Han earned his master’s degree studying interactions between amyloid fibrils and mammalian cells using electron tomography in the laboratories of Prof. Paul Walther and Prof. Marcus Fändrich. He subsequently completed his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, where he established volume correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) to investigate nano–bio interactions. He then pursued postdoctoral research in Prof. Patrick Cramer’s laboratory at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, applying cryo-electron tomography to study chromatin organization both in vitro and in situ. In 2023, Dr. Han joined Leica Microsystems as Product Manager for EM sample preparation, overseeing product lifecycles and innovation for advanced cryo-EM, electron tomography, and cryo-CLEM workflows, including responsibility for the STELLARIS Cryo Confocal Microscope and the EM ICE High Pressure Freezer.
