Dr. Alessandro Caputo holds a degree in medicine and is a pathology resident at the University Hospital of Salerno. He has a keen interest in computer sciences and workflow analysis with the aim to improve efficiency in pathology laboratories. His approach to workflow optimization, pathology education and training include computer-aided image analyses, especially their application to cytopathology.

Dr. Caputo contributed to alleviating the workload of manual and time-consuming digitalization of vaccine-related data during the COVID-19 pandemic by developing a vision-based computer software to simplify and automate the process.
