Adam Cliffe

Adam Cliffe is a sales and application specialist for life science research microscopy at Leica Microsystems since 2013. He obtained his PhD in molecular biology from Cambridge University in 2004. Before joining Leica Microsystems, Adam worked as a postdoc at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology of the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), as well as, the Temasek Lifesciences Laboratory, both in Singapore. Previously, he also worked as a postdoc at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. His research interests included cellular, molecular, and developmental biology and genetics. His laboratory experience encompasses work with several model organisms, such as the zebrafish, medaka fish, and fruit flies (Drosophila), as well as, various microscopy techniques, e.g., stereo and compound microscopy using fluorescence and other illumination techniques and confocal microscopy. Currently, Adam is using his scientific and technological knowledge and background to give presentations, demonstrations, and technical advice to end users about microscopy systems and applications.
